Today, we have a bunch of smaller updates for you.

• Optimised attack logic, post dragon update, making it run faster than even before the dragon update
• corrected min damage clamping and reflecting it in other stats (min damage cant be higher than max damage)
• Added omnidirectional movement. You can now move NE, NW, SE, SW. Also updated the compass to allow for these added directions. (Hard refresh required)
• (possibly) fixed online counters. I dunno, maybe 8th times the charm?
• Derived stats are updating correctly after fights now (crit, defence and skill chance)
• Added a space between the words "Mission" and "quest" if the monster you're fighting is both.
• Fixed a noisy non-error annoying me in logs
• When a new player registers to play the game, upon successful registration, they will now automatically get logged in  (QoL)

Catchup Mechanic

Now, if subscribed and you earn more exp than needed to level, you will level up multiple times. No more stopping at 1xp away from another level.

New Premium Item - Einherjar’s Beacon

This new item has multiple functions.

1. 10% chance killing a Valkyrie doesn't add to your monthly count.
2. Adds a teleport button to the most recently spawned Valkyrie. (Requires ability to teleport to operate)
3. In the teleport menu, adds a new option to teleport to any Valkyrie of grade and type you choose. (also requires ability to teleport)

It is currently only available for purchase with diamonds within the spend diamonds menu.

Rank changes

Increased maximum gold bonuses to match EXP bonuses for all ranks.

After speaking to the 2 people that were at the max rank, I have added new ranks. I don't really expect anyone to reach them, but they're there just in case. Gives you something to spend diamonds on when you find them and have everything else. I added 2 new ranks, because it made sense as the titles go  hand in hand. Plus hopefully means I wont ever have to add in another...

Regin - Means The ruling powers. The decision makers between the gods.

Ginnregin - The high council of the gods.

Referral system upgrades

I would really love to see you all start using your referral links a bit more and see some new life in the game. You can find your referral link in the settings menu.

You've always gained 5% bonus diamonds for any purchase your referrals make (e.g. they buy 10,000 you get 500)

Now, in addition to the diamonds, you will also get the equivalent in rank points. So, using the example above, you would also gain 500 Rank Points.

Here be Dragons

Good day folks. It's been talked about for weeks, and the day is finally here. But before I talk about the largest content update we've had in some time, I want to go over some other changes I've made first.

1. PayPal has been updated to the latest version of their payment platform. Hopefully now we won't see sporadic errors on their part. I have also enabled their Direct payment options, so for those that don't have PayPal, can still use a debit or credit card. All direct payments are still made through PayPal and we do not store any customer data. We remain PCI Compliant.
2. When a member leaves or is kicked out of a clan, their pending taxes will now automatically be deposited before the action occurs.
3. The homepage of the game has been updated with a more catchy design, to hopefully entice new players to join.
4. Refactored the attack scripts, breaking them down into smaller more readable pieces of code, rather than one giant monolith, making it easier for future updates.
5. Made several aspects of the game no longer hardcoded, and managed by configuration, so that some things can be changed easily on the fly.
6. Map imagery has been updated throughout. I felt that some of the imagery didn't depict the norse realms accurately so made new imagery. Entrances to planes now also have doorway type imagery as well.
7. Moved valkyrie shards and rune fragments out of other stats to make space for now displaying dodge chance and critical hit chance. valkyrie shards and rune fragments can be found in the blacksmith and runemaster, where you'd use them.
8. Fixed an indexing issue (a thing that makes finding stuff like your inventory really quick amongst millions of other entries)
9. Updated collection type quests to allow for either by monster or by plane. This was done in preparation for dragon questline.

Now for the stuff you have been waiting for. Dragons. I won't divulge too much information here. I want you to experience the questline and see the rewards for yourselves. The features unlocked at the end of the questline are tremendous, and includes a massive gold sink.

There are 19 new quests. There are 9 dragons. There are 9 new unique perks. There are 9 upgradeable bonuses.

The 9 dragons belong to the 9 realms and I will give you a good hint on where to get started.

Each dragons quest is within a 5x5 area of one of the entrances to each plane. Except Midgard, which is near the last quest from the tutorial quests, so within a 5x5 area of where you first started in the game. They should be easy enough to spot. Every one of these quests sits on a "special location", meaning it has unique imagery on the map.

The tutorial questline is required to be completed before you can do the dragon questline. 

Each of those quests can be handed in separately for incremental reward. you do not need to have all realms done before you can continue.

Odin awaits for you at his throne, north of Valhalla, when you have any of the required items.

I will spill 1 detail about the end of the questline. It will unlock access to the Well of Urd. Found 1 space north of Odins Throne. This new plane carries a 5x EXP and Gold multiplier.

Christmas 2025 Charity Results

Apologies for the slight delay on this. 

During the event 10% of all donations made to the game were earmarked for charity. That total was £115.89

Mental health is a foundational aspect of overall well-being, influencing our thoughts, feelings, and actions, and deserves the same attention as physical health.

As most of you know, the charity Mind UK have personally been of help to me in the past and are wonderful. Mental health is always at its lowest points at this time of the year and you've all helped to contribute to making sure someone else isn't alone in their tough time.

I appreciate you all. Thank you for being a part of this community.

Idling Forward

It has been asked for often, so I have increased the amount of auto's everyone has by 500 permanently.

I created the ability for me to change this at will, so I can increase it temporarily over Christmas break etc.

As I have updated the base amount of auto's, I have already increased the auto's gained from Subscription from 250 to 1,000.

I have also updated the other stats tab to show an accurate display of how many Auto's you have. The count now includes all sources of autos. Base, Bought, Subscription and alliance.

Admin tools cleanup

Fixed some admin tools for viewing/editing some of the miscellaneous properties associated to users, such as preferences, referrer etc.

Black Friday & Christmas 2025

With Black Friday being so close to the start of our usual December Christmas event, I have decided to just roll them in together this year. 

The Exp/Gold multiplier will increase by 1% for every $10 donated. Unlike previous years, the multiplier is starting at 3x!

The usual Black Friday Light/Dark orb offer is also available now.

Since I've rolled Black Friday into the Christmas event, the 10% of all donations going to charity, that counter also starts now.

Christmas Charity 2024

As most of you know, every year, during the Christmas promo, I also keep record of how much is donated to the game throughout the month of December and donate 10% of everything to charity.

This year, $630 was received (before fee's and tax). Which is £509.69 in my local currency. Which would equate to £50.97 to charity.

I have always set a minimum amount of £100, so I will be donating that this year.

Christmas, and the holiday season in general can be a tough time for many, which is why i will be donating it to Mind UK again. This charity deals in helping people with mental illnesses and suicide prevention, amongst other things. They have legitimately helped me in the past, and it's entirely possible that me and therefore VF wouldn't be here today without this charity. I want for other people to have the same help that I had when I needed it most.

To all of you, Thank you for your support. Thank you for always being good to me, for helping me keep this game running and all your sincerity. Thank you for your understanding with a lack of updates in recent times, due to my personal circumstances with work and all the things I have been doing with my life outside of the game recently.

Halloween background is up as requested! along with 2x event time and diamond sale!

As most of you may already be aware, I'm getting married in less than 5 weeks now. So, in celebration of that, I have set the event time to go from now, until AFTER CHRISTMAS!

Huge time.

But wait, there's more! I will also be periodically increasing the multiplier based on donations made, like we did for last Christmas. With a 2 month event, that could get really high!
